A fertility evaluation is an examination process that is conducted to determine the health of a woman’s reproductive system and structures, and the determine her likelihood of getting pregnant. Evaluations include physical and medical examination, including information about sexual history. A variety of methods, including blood tests to monitor hormone levels or ultrasound exams of the ovaries, are also used to determine whether or not a patient is ovulating. Additional tests and X-rays are administered to gauge the health of the uterus and fallopian tubes. Additional examination may be required, as determined by the physician. Fertility evaluations for men are also available.
